Work Plan for Installation of Temporary Soil Gas Sampling Probes, Page 3 <br />Soil Gas Sampling, and Laboratory Analyses <br />ELLIS SUBDIVISION <br />WKA No. 12002.03 <br />August 8, 2018 <br />Volatile organic hydrocarbons (VOCs) using EPA Method 8260 <br />TPH as gasoline using EPA Method 8260 <br />TPH-diesel range using EPA Method 8015m <br />The leak compound 1,1-Difluoroethane using EPA Method 8260B <br />If field condition warrant, the soil samples collected from the borings will be submitted <br />with completed chain-of-custody forms to a State Water Resources Control Board- <br />certified laboratory for all or a portion of the chemical analyses listed below. <br />VOCs using EPA Method 8260B <br />TPH as gasoline using EPA Method 8260B; <br />TPH as diesel and TPH as motor oil using modified EPA Method 8015; and, <br />Polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) using EPA Method 8082. <br />Soil cuttings will be placed on and covered with plastic sheeting or placed into 55-gallon <br />steel drums. Rinsate water will be placed into 55-gallon steel drums. The drums will be <br />labeled, sealed, and stored on-site pending results of laboratory analyses. <br />After sample collection, Teg will remove the PRT drive and Nylaflow tubing from each <br />boring and backfill to ground surface using Portland cement under observation of a <br />SJCEHD grout inspector. <br />Report Preparation <br />Following completion of sampling activities and receipt of analytical data, a report will be <br />prepared. The report will include a sketch map illustrating soil gas sampling probe locations, a <br />description of field methods used, tables summarizing results of analytical data, and a <br />discussion of field observations and findings, a copy of the laboratory analytical data sheets and <br />chain-of-custody documentation, conclusions, and recommendations, if appropriate. <br />Schedule <br />Installation of the soil gas sampling probes has been scheduled for August 20th, August 24th, <br />and August 27th. <br />We are tentatively scheduled to start the fieldwork on August 20, 2018, pending receipt of <br />permits for the temporary soil gas sampling probes from SJCEHD.
