El Dorado Street
Stockton, San Joaquin County
MW-8 Please locate borings B-14 through B-19 as discussed in the November 2016
letter.
In the November 2016 letter, Central Valley Water Board staff requested that you collect
grab groundwater samples from between 30-40 ft below ground surface in borings B-14
through B-19. However, as shallow well MW-13 is non-impacted, sampling at this depth
is not necessary in borings B-14 and B-15. However, please collect grab groundwater
samples from this depth in borings B-16 through B-19.
The remaining scope of work as discussed in this letter and the November 2016 letter is
as follows:
Location Total
Depth
(ft bgs)
Screened
Interval
(ft bgs)
Soil Sampling Grab Groundwater Sampling
Depth
(ft bgs)
Analysis Depth
(ft bgs)
Analysis
MW-11 100A 90-100A Every 5ft, from
80ft to TO
Lithological
Logging Only 55-65 TPHg, TPHd,
BTEX,
naphthalene,
MTBE, ETBE,
TAME, DIPE, TBA,
EDB, 1,2-DCA
B-14, B-15 125 -- Every 5ft, from
20ft to TO
Lithological
Logging Only
55-65, 90-100,
115-125
B-16, B-17
B-18, B-19, 125 -- Every 5ft, from
20ft to TD
Lithological
Logging Only
30-40, 55-65,
90-100, 115-125
TPHg=total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline, TPHd=TPH as diesel; BTEX=benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes,
MTBE=methyl tert butyl ether, ETBE=ethyl tert butyl ether; TAME=tert amyl methyl ether; DIPE=di-isopropyl ether; TBA=tert butyl
alcohol; EDB=ethylene dibromide; 1,2-DCA=1,2-dichloroethylene; ft=feet; bgs=below ground surface; TD=total depth
A=May be adjusted based on field observations.
By 29 June 2018, piease submit an Assessment Report which details the
installation/advancement of the above discussed well/borings and the resultant findings,
and include recommendations for additional assessment if necessary. In the report,
please include a cross section which depicts Site lithology along a line roughly parallel to
groundwater flow extending from on-site to the furthest downgradient sampling locations.
In addition to lithological data, on the cross section please also include groundwater
analytical data for wells and borings.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding comments in this letter please contact the
undersigned at (916) 464-4615 or by email at alan.buehlerwaterboards.ca .qov.
z
0
Alan M.
