25 October 2016
AGE Project No. 11-1847
2.4. GROUNDWATER SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS
Following the installation of the new monitoring wells, groundwater monitoring and
sampling activities will be conducted at the wells on a quarterly basis for a minimum of
one year (four sampling events); monitoring activities will include recording depth to
groundwater measurements and collection of groundwater samples for laboratory
analysis by a CDPH-certified laboratory for the analytes noted in Section 2.2.
2.5. PREPARATION OF REPORT OF FINDINGS
A report documenting the findings during well installations, development and survey will
be prepared following performance of field work and receipt of all applicable data.
Additionally, quarterly reports will be prepared following each groundwater monitoring
event. Each report will include a description of work performed and the results of the
groundwater sampling and analysis. Conclusions and recommendations will also be
included, if applicable for each report. All reports will be in a format acceptable to the EHD
and the CVRWQCB, and will be reviewed and signed by a California Professional
Geologist.
3.0. FIELD PROCEDURES
All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of
a California Professional Geologist. Procedures for boring advancement, soil sample
collection, well installation, well development and well sampling are described below.
3.1. OFF-SITE BORING ADVANCEMENT AND SAMPLING
Utilizing a truck-mounted, hollow-stem auger drill rig (CME-75 High Torque Drill Rig)
equipped with either 6.25-inch (for borings) or 8.25-inch (if required) diameter hollow-
stem augers, soil borings B-14, B-15, B-16 and B-17 will be advanced to depths of
approximately 125 feet bsg for the purpose of logging lithology and collection of grab
groundwater samples at depths between 55-65 feet bsg, 90-100 feet bsg and 115 to 125
feet bsg.
Utilizing a truck-mounted, hollow-stem auger drill rig (CME-75 High Torque Drill Rig)
equipped with 8.25-inch diameter hollow-stem augers, soil borings MW-11 and MW-12
will be advanced to depths of approximately 100 feet bsg for the purpose of logging
lithology, collection of grab groundwater samples at depths between 55-65 feet bsg, and
for installation of a 2-inch diameter deep groundwater monitoring wells.
Utilizing a truck-mounted, hollow-stem auger drill rig (CME-75 High Torque Drill Rig)
equipped with 8.25-inch diameter hollow-stem augers, soil boring MW-13 will be
Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc.
