AdvancedGeo
Fnvironmental gg,g
28 March 2019
AGE Project No. 19-4669
3.1. PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD). In addition, a health and safety plan will be
updated in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for
Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health
Administration, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, 1985).
Prior to mobilization, each proposed boring location will be clearly marked, and a utility
clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert.
3.2. SOIL PROBE BORINGS AND SAMPLING
A total of four (4) soil borings will be advanced onsite in the areas illustrated in Figure 1.
All borings will be advanced utilizing a van-mounted direct push drilling rig.
The two proposed borings at 108 East Eleventh Street will be advanced to total depths of
20 feet below surface grade (bsg) for collection of soil and grab groundwater samples.
Based upon regional groundwater elevation data, static groundwater depth within wells
near the site is estimated to be approximately 10 to 15 feet bsg. During boring
advancement soil samples will be collected at five-foot intervals from 5 to 20 feet bsg.
The two proposed borings at 128 East Eleventh Street will be advanced to total depths of
12 feet bsg for collection of soil samples only. Soil samples will be collected at 5, 10 and
12 feet bsg.
Soil and grab groundwater samples will be analyzed by a California Environmental Lab
Accreditation Program-certified (CELAP) lab for the following:
Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline, diesel and motor oil (TPH-g,
TPH-d and TPH-mo) in accordance EPA method 8015M.
Volatile organic compounds, including naphthalene, in accordance with EPA
method 8260B.
Laboratory reports for soil sample and water analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality
assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain-of-custody documentation
will be presented in a report with the findings and recommendations.
3.3. REPORT PREPARATION
Upon completion of field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be
prepared presenting the findings of the investigation. The report will include a description
of the work performed and results of the sampling and analysis. Conclusions, applicable
