California Native Plant Society 1B = List IB species: rare,threatened,or endangered in California and elsewhere. 2 = List 2 species: rare,threatened,or endangered in California but more common elsewhere. Special-Status Wildlife Based on a search of the CNDDB (2005)for the project region and biological communities present in the area, a total of 12 special-status wildlife species were identified as potentially occurring within 10 miles of the landfill property(Table 2-6). None of the wildlife species listed in Table 2-6 were observed during the June 3,2005, field survey,nor have they been previously documented in the landfill property(California Natural Diversity Database 2005);however,much of the project area has probably not been surveyed for special-status wildlife.
