Former Ranch Market - 2 -
23569 S. Santa Fe Rd
Riverbank, San Joaquin County
30 June 2020
It should be noted that Mr. Cano has applied for funding for the Barrera's Market
case through the State's Orphan Site Cleanup Fund (OSCF), and a schedule for
completing the initial investigation is not known at this time.
2. Should the inal Barrera's Market investigation confirm that petroleum
hydrocarbons present on the property are from a former UST on the property, as
asserted by Condor, then Central Valley Water Board staff will move forward with
closure of the Ranch Market case. Additionally, if Mr. Cano so chooses, he may
take control of monitoring well MW -7 for use as part of the Barrera's Market case,
but would then be responsible for that well's destruction upon completion of the
Barrera's Market case.
3. If the initial Barrera's Market investigation indicates that the petroleum impact at
the property is due to the upgradient Ranch Market release, then the Barrera's
Market case will be closed and the Ranch Market case will remain open to
address this impact.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding comments in this letter, please contact
the undersigned by phone at (916) 4644615 or by email at
alan.buehlera.waterboards.ca.gov.
Alan M.
