The conversion of the existing commercial building to th¢ new use may constitute a change of <br /> occupancy. A change of occupancy will require a code analysis report and necessary plans <br /> prepared by an architect or engineer in accordance with the California Existing Building Code.The <br /> report and plans shall identify existing conditions, propose alterations necessary to bring the <br /> building in compliance wtth the current code and include the following: <br /> A. Occupant load based on the CPC for the new use <br /> Modifications to existing buildings are required to include upgrades related to disability access <br /> pursuant to the California Existing Building Coda. Plans showing these upgrades must be <br /> prepared by a registered engineer or licensed architect and shall be submitted for review and <br /> approval prior to issuance of a building permit. <br /> 5. Accessible routes shall be provided per CBC § 118-206. At least 1 accesslble route shall be <br /> provided within the site from accessible parking spaces and accessible passenger loading zones; <br /> public streets and sidewalks; and public transportation stops to the accessible bullding or facility <br /> entrance they serve.
