All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #2 Pool Enclosure <br /> OBSERVATIONS: No "Keep Close"sign at gate entrance. Provide a "keep close" sign at gate entrance gate within one <br /> week. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool area shall be enclosed by one or more of the following. a fence,portion of a building, wall, or other <br /> approved durable enclosure. Pool enclosure shall be constructed over a hard permanent material equivalent to concrete and shall be <br /> installed no more than 2 inches above the finished grade. Holes, gaps, or openings in the enclosure shall not allow the passage of a <br /> 4-inch diameter sphere. Doors, openable windows, or gates of living quarters shall not be permitted as part of the pool enclosure. (CBC <br /> 3119B) Pool operator shall keep the pool enclosure well maintained. (CCR 65535) Pool enclosure shall have a minimum effective <br /> perpendicularheightof 5 feet and shall be constructed so that it cannot be climbed by small children. Horizontal members shall be spaced <br /> at/east 48 inches apart. No planters or other climbable structures shall be permitted within 5 feet of the pool enclosure or within a 5-foot <br /> am. Chain link openings shall not be larger than 13/4 inches when measured horizontally. Pool enclosures with a height of 4 or more feet <br /> are allowed if the enclosure was constructed prior to July 1994.(CBC 31198) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br /> OBSERVATIONS: Safety Signs faded. Replace safety signs and iclude location address, pool hours and pool capacity <br /> within two weeks. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safetysigns well maintained.(CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br /> letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole, gate, or similar <br /> permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified.(CBC 3120B) <br /> #9 Ladders and Handrails <br /> OBSERVATIONS: Loose handrails. Tighten loose handrails into the shallow pool area within one week. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION.,Ameans of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br /> handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed.At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br /> above the top of the lowest step.
