Sierra Chemical Co. <br />RCRA Contingency Plan <br />• Station #3: Scrub/wash of decon solutions <br />• Station #4: Final rinse of previously applied decon solutions <br />• Station #5: Inspection and wipe testing of clothing and equipment <br />• Station #6: Removal and disposal of personal protective clothing <br />• Station #7: Post -Entry medical monitoring and evaluation <br />9.3 Dispasai <br />The proper disposal of material as a result of a spill shall be accomplished in accordance with ALL local, <br />state and federal regulations. <br />Product <br />Once all spilled/released material has been recovered, the IC should consult the EHSS Manager or <br />designated assignee to see if the product can be reused. If product is considered waste, arrangements <br />will be made to transport the material(s) to a disposal facility by a licensed hazardous waste transporter. <br />Equipment <br />All equipment in the incident response, including decon equipment that cannot be cleaned of <br />contaminates must be disposed of properly. These items must be collected, placed in containers, <br />labeled, and transported to a disposal facility by a licensed hazardous waste transporter. In addition, <br />spent solutions used for washing and rinse waters will be disposed of correctly and disposed of in <br />accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. <br />Container Labeling <br />The IC and EHSS Manager will verify that all containers used for the cleanup operations and that <br />potentially contain hazardous material have an appropriate hazardous waste label on them. The number <br />of containers and respective contents should be recorded and placed in the incident response file. <br />Transportation <br />The IC and Transportation Dispatcher will make the necessary arrangements for transporting the <br />hazardous material to the appropriate facility(s) for disposal. <br />The IC will ensure that emergency equipment that is located or used in the affected areas) of the facility <br />and listed in the contingency plan is cleaned and ready for its intended use before operations are <br />resumed. After any equipment used during the decontamination procedures is cleaned, repaired, or <br />replaced, a post -emergency and equipment inspection will be performed, and the results will be <br />documented. <br />10<1 Equipment <br />Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) <br />PPE that is provided to employees for use during their normal duties is to be inspected on a daily basis. <br />This is the employee's responsibility, and any PPE found to be damaged to the point that its integrity will <br />not provide the protection for which it was designed, shall be turned to the employee's supervisor for <br />replacement. <br />Prepared By: <br />Issue date: <br />Replaces: <br />Page: <br />ACT Environmental Services, Inc. <br />February 25, 2016 <br />NA <br />28 of 44 <br />
