Repair. <br />Black algae growing on side and bottom of pool. Disinfect and remove black algae. <br />CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated brushing, <br />and scrubbing. A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency. (CSC 31088) <br />#19 Depth Markers <br />OBSERVATIONS: Depth markers faded or fading. Repair or repaint. This is a repeat violation. <br />CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: Depth markers shall be clearly marked in the following locations: at maximum depth, at minimum depth, at <br />each end, on both sides at each end, at the slope break, and along the perimeter of the pool at distances not to exceed 25 feet. Depth <br />markers shall be 4 inches high in a contrasting color and be marked in units of feet and inches. For pool water depths 6 feet and <br />shallower, markers with universal "NO DIVING" symbol shall be installed on the deck directly adjacent to the depth markers. (CBC 3110B) <br />#21 Water Level <br />OBSERVATIONS: Water level near bottom of skimmer window. Increase to provide water level about mid height of <br />skimmer window. <br />CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: The pool operator shall ensure that the pool water is maintained at a level that will allow continuous removal of <br />surface debris through the pool skimming system. (CCR 65533) <br />#22 Skimmer Assembly <br />OBSERVATIONS: Trash inside skimmer. Remove and keep clean. <br />CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be <br />maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications. (CBC 31368) <br />#23 Pool Inlets and Outlets <br />OBSERVATIONS: Bottom inlet (additive) cover popped out about 1 foot. Repair and ensure cover is installed securely and <br />will not pop out. This is a repeat violation. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Inlet fitting shall not protrude greater than 1 inch into the pool and shall be rounded and smooth. Wall inlets <br />shall be capable of adjusting the direction of flow. Each pool shall be provided with a main drain submerged suction outlet typically located <br />at the bottom of the pool. (CBC 31378) <br />#38 Filter Cleaning and Maintenance <br />OBSERVATIONS: Influent slightly over 14 psi and effluent slightly below 4 psi. Clean or baddlush filter so difference of the <br />two gauges is less than 10 psi. <br />CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: All filters shall be maintained in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. (CBC 31238) Pressure gauge <br />located on the filter shall be marked with the clean startup reading. (CBC 312513) Each filter vessel shall be provided with valves so that it <br />can be isolated from the recirculation system for repairs and backwashing.
