All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#4 Safety Equipment MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Hook pole broken to less than 4 feet, life saver ring kept inside locked pump room. Immediately provide <br />when public can have access. Corrected by placing ring outside and pole replaced. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope, Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Name, address, capacity, pool hours faded on sign. Re-label immediately. This is a repeat violation. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safely signs well maintained. (CCR 55535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31208) <br />#7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: Many cracks and holes on pool deck and edge of pool, and some of the expansion slot missing wood or <br />material leaving gaps almost as wide as 2 inches. Repair immediately to provide safe walking surface. This is a repeat <br />violation. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 311413) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#17 Cleanliness of Pool <br />OBSERVATIONS: Debris in bottom of pool. Clean. This is a repeat violation. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clean pool water while the pool is in use and shall not allow debris to accumulate <br />in the pool Pool operator shall dean the bottom, sides, and other surfaces of the pool as often as necessary to keep pool surfaces clean <br />and free of slime and algae.
