STATE OF CALIFORNIA PETE WILSON,Governor
CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD
CENTRAL VALLEY REGION
3443 Routier Road, Suite A
Sacramento, CA 95827-3098
PHONE: (916)361-5600
FAX: (916) 361-5686
22 July 1992
J U L 2 7 1992
Mr. Gabriel Karam ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
Department of Public Works 1T/ VI.
San Joaquin County
1810 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95201
APPROVAL OF STORM WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN, NORTH COUNTY SANITARY LANDFILL, SAN
JOAQUIN COUNTY, (CASE# 3161-
We have reviewed your Storm Water Management Plan, dated 6 July 1992, and find
that it will provide proper management of surface drainage at the North County
Landfill . The calculations indicate that adequate capacity is available in
site storm water basins to manage a 100 year 24-hour storm.
The only correction to the plan should be to delete the last paragraph in the
Site Drainage section that indicates that the Landfill Module will be used as
an overflow drainage basin. Drainage inside the landfill , which must be
managed as leachate, should be kept to a minimum. Storm water discharge from
outside the module to inside the module is prohibited.
Please submit a copy of the page with the revised Site Drainage section to our
office by 7 August 1992 so that we can amend the previously submitted Storm
Water Management Plan.
If you have any questions, please contact Robert Evans at (916) 361-5737.
WILLIAM S.
