I <br /> MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM -5- <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> NORTH COUNTY SANITARY LANDFILL <br /> CLASS III LANDFILL <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> WATER QUALITY PROTECTION STANDARDS <br /> Standards for Surface Waters <br /> Monthly surface water samples shall be taken from South Paddy Creek upstream of <br /> the facility at the locations shown on Attachment "B" for one year and analyzed <br /> for each of the parameters and constituents listed under "SURFACE WATER <br /> MONITORING" above. Analyses shall account for measurement errors in sampling and <br /> analysis. Data from these analyses shall be reported to the Board 13 months <br /> after the date of this Order for use by the Board in determining water quality <br /> protection standards for surface waters at the site. <br /> If subsequent upstream surface water sampling indicates significant water quality <br /> changes due to either seasonal fluctuations or other reasons unrelated to waste <br /> management activities at the site, the Discharger may request modification of <br /> these water quality protection standards. <br /> Standards for Ground Water <br /> Monthly samples shall be taken from the "background" monitoring well for one year <br /> and analyzed for: <br /> Report in <br /> ParameterlConstituent Units of <br /> Specific Conductance (field) wmhos/cm <br /> pH (field) Number <br /> Sulfate mg/l <br /> Chloride mg/1 <br /> Nitrate (as N) mg/l <br /> Alkalinity mg/l <br /> Carbonate mg/l <br /> Bicarbonate mg/l <br /> Dissolved Iron mg/l <br /> Manganese mg/1 <br /> Total Organic Carbon mg/l <br /> Quarterly samples shall be taken from the wells G-1, G-2, and G-3 for one year <br /> and analyzed for each of the parameters and constituents listed under "GROUND <br /> WATER MONITORING" above. Analyses shall account for measurement errors in <br /> sampling and analysis. Data from these analyses shall be reported to the Board <br /> 13 months after the date of this Order for use by the Board in determining water <br /> quality protection standards for ground water at the site. <br /> If subsequent sampling of "background" monitoring wells indicates significant <br /> water quality changes due to either seasonal fluctuations or other reasons <br />
