Tracy Materials Recovery RFI ame dment#3 Page 1 of 2
Garrett T. Backus [EH]
From: Garrett T. Backus [EH]
Sent: Thursday, May 11, 2006 4:36 PM
To: 'Evan Edgar'
Subject: RE: Tracy Materials Recovery RFI amendment#3
Hi Evan,
I am finishing up my review of Tracy Material Recovery &Transfer Facility RFI amendment# 3. 1 need
clarification regarding the increase of the yard composting area in the site plan. I calculate that the compost area
footprint is 156,800 square feet in the amended site plan. I looked at the Evaporation Pond information in the
'93 RFI, Appendix E to determine if the pond was adequate to handle the increased compost footprint. It appears
that the Evaporation Pond was designed to handle a maximum 90,000 square feet footprint (appendix E, p E-3,
paragraph 4 and Table E-3). Can the evaporation pond handle the increased footprint? If so, please explain how
in amendment# 3.
Thx,
Garrett Backus
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Dept
(209) 468-2986
---Original Message-----
From: Evan Edgar [mailto:evan@edgarinc.org]
Sent: Tuesday, May 02, 2006 10:05 PM
To: Garrett T. Yes, we do plan that the NOE would
apply to all of RFI Amendment No. 3 attached.
We are also working with the Planning Department on the EIR Technical Addendum to allow C&D and inert
crushing.
Best regards.
Evan
E
Evan W.R.Edgar
Edgar&Associates,Inc
5/12/2006
