-J ti
Garrett T. Backus [EH]
From: Evan Edgar[evan@edgarinc.org]
Sent: Monday, October 30, 2006 4:32 PM
To: Garrett T. Backus [EH]
Cc: 'Scott Stortroen'
Subject: RE: Tracy Transfer
Garret:
Maybe I should re-word the text.
Manual labor will be removing contaminants by hand, but will not be sorting the heavy inerts or processing them.
For clarity, I will mention that the laborers will hand pick contaminants from the inert pile that had been spread out
by heavy equipment. And that the heavy equipment will not be active when hand collection of contaminates is
underway (such as what the picture is showing).
Thanks
Evan
Evan W.R.Edgar
Edgar&Associates,Inc
1822 21st Street
Sacramento,Ca 95814
(916)739-1200
(916)739-1216 Fax
This communication(including any attachments)may contain privileged or confidential information intended for a specific
individual and purpose, and is protected by law. Backus [EH] [mailto:gbackus@sjcehd.com]
Sent: Monday, October 30, 2006 4:21 PM
To: Evan Edgar
Subject: Tracy Transfer
Hi Evan,
I was rereading the latest version of the amendment#3 and would like to make the following points:
1) Page 2 of the amendment, 2nd paragraph states that"...manual labor will not be sorting the inerts."
During my October inspection of the facility I noticed three workers at the inert area sorting materials. A
photograph of these workers is attached. It appears that manual labor will be used in the inert area.
2) When will the berm be installed? The photograph shows that the berm is not currently installed.
Sincerely,
10/31/2006
