The VUE <br /> complainant does not live there. The tenant complained that the water quality is <br /> bad and have caused them to boil their water, ever since last year, before using <br /> the water. The tenant stated that the water smells like rotten egg and it is cloudy. <br /> Sand and dirt also is found in the water. <br /> Reviewed water system chemical monitoring schedule that shows the results and <br /> dates. No chemicals found to be out of the ordinary. Odor threshold and turbidity is <br /> below the Maximum Contaminant Level. In 2020, two boil water notices were <br /> issued by the certified distribution operator, Sam Hedge, due to test results <br /> showing positive total coliform in the water. No E. Coli was detected for both <br /> events. The events occurred in March and September 2020. <br /> 03/22/2021 Sent an email to Sam Hedge, certified distribution operator, regarding the VUE <br /> compliant that was received about the water system. I asked Mr. Hedge if the <br /> cancellation of the boil water notice been issued for the boil water notice that was <br /> issued twice in 2020. I also informed him to have the water tested for Secondary <br /> (Aesthetics) as it is due in 2021. Also, I informed him that he can also test for <br /> inorganic chemicals, nitrate, and nitrite as they are due in 2021. <br /> 1 spoke to the complainant to give her an update on my investigation. I informed <br /> her that I reviewed the water system chemical and bacteriological results. The <br /> Secondary (Aesthetics) results were acceptable. I informed her that I have <br /> reached out to the certified distribution operator to have the water tested for <br /> Secondary (Aesthetics).Also, I informed her that I reviewed the bacteriological <br /> results and in March and September 2020, the water did tested positive for total <br /> coliform. The operator did issued a boil water notice. She asked me to give her an <br /> update once I received the updated Secondary (aesthetics) results.
