Hazardous Materials Located at The Facility <br />as <br />The following is a list of hazardous materials located at the Owens -Brockway Plant #22 <br />Facility. This list was originally completed in 2006. The list and quantities of materials <br />were not reviewed or updated in the 2011 revision to the SPCC Plan. Although these <br />items are not required to be identified in the SPCC Plan, according to 40 CFR Part 112, they <br />are included as a separate appendix for best management practices. The locations of these <br />items are included on Figure 2, behind the Figure tab. <br />• Propane: 150,000 gallon ASTs <br />• Tin Tetrachloride: 20-40 containers (each 185 lbs) <br />• Sodium Hydroxide (caustic soda solution): 300 gallons <br />• Sodium Hypochlorite: total combined less than 200 gallon <br />• Recycled Tin Material: 10-25 containers (each 420 -gal) <br />• Ethylene glycol: total combined less than 200 gallons <br />• Acetylene: total combined less than 1,800 cubic feet F <br />• Hydrochloric Acid: 300 gallons 1 <br />• ChemTreat solutions: total combined less than 1,476 gallons <br />• Duracoat: total combined less than 1,000 gallons <br />• Calcium Carbonate: less than 20,000 million pounds <br />• Liquid Oxygen: less than 13,000 gallons <br />• Oxygen: total combined less than 3,000 cubic feet <br />• Selenium: total combined less than 500 pounds <br />• Soda Ash: total combined less than 40,000 million pounds <br />• Cooling Tower Treatment Chemicals <br />• Checker Carry -Over Dust (generated only during furnace repair projects, which is <br />disposed of during the project and not stored onsite) <br />• Sulfuric Acid 300 gallons <br />• (Methylacetylene-Propadiene) MAPP Gas 1,800 gallons <br />Described below are the best management procedures to be utilized and fail-safe features <br />associated with these non -oil materials. <br />• The cylinders are located in designated storage areas, secured, and labeled with the <br />proper warning signs. If a leak is detected, it will be stopped, if feasible. The Fire <br />Department will be notified if significant leaks cannot be stopped. <br />• The propane AST is protected from vehicular traffic by guardrails and bumper poles. <br />If a leak is detected, it will be stopped, if feasible. The Fire Department will be <br />notified if significant leaks cannot be stopped. <br />• Self-contained parts washers are located in the maintenance area of the facility. Any <br />releases will be cleaned up and there are no storm drains located inside the building. <br />August 2016 <br />
