HEALTH DI;'"ARTMENT <br />Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked <br />with the date they were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied. <br />Immediately mark and manage all empty containers perthis section. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />Owens' Response/Corrective Action: <br />These empty steel containers have been shipped offsite as scrap metal; <br />the poly totes were sent offsite to a company to be refurbished for re- <br />use; the poly drums were sent off-site for disposal. <br />ltem 605: CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers ortanks of hazardous waste. <br />At time of inspection: <br />-Three 55g drums of Non RCRA hazardous waste solid (oily debris) were seen without a <br />hazardous property (other was marked) <br />One 55g drum of Non RCRA hazardous waste (oil, water) was seen without a hazardous <br />property marked. <br />One 55g drum of Non RCRA hazardous waste liquid (Ethylene glycol) was seen without a <br />hazardous property marked. <br />One 55g drum of Non RCRA hazardous waste liquid (oil) was seen without a hazardous <br />property marked. <br />-Eight white totes of Hazardous Waste solid (Chromium Lead Selenium) were seen without a <br />hazardous property (other was marked). <br />one 55g drum of oily contaminated debris near the vehicle maintenance area was seen <br />withouta hazardous waste label. <br />All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />- the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />name and address of generator <br />- hazardous properties <br />physical state <br />- composition (contents) <br />accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are <br />marked with all the required information. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />Owens' Response/Corrective Action: <br />These issues were corrected on the date of the inspection. <br />9 <br />
