r
!!I
DART IMPACT TEST INFORMATION
When testing Red Infectious Waste Bags, add enough weight
to the black -tipped dart (base weight 30 grams), to get a minimum
of 165 grams. We use approximately 180 grams as a minimum standard
to assure a "safety zone", to meet the 165 gram requirements.
Our dart impact armature is set at 27 inches which is above
the required measurement by one full inch. We feel by increasing the
distance on the tip of the armature to the polyethylene film, we can
exceed the standard and limit failures. As you can see, we take added
precautions with our Red Infectious Waste Bags, to make sure that
they meet the minimum standards.
49
Along with our strict requirements for our Red Infectious Waste
liners, we also go above and beyond the requirements by testing the
quality of all our hamper and trash liners.
We made a commitment to the industry in providing hospitals
with quality products that take rare of all of their infectious waste
and hazardous material needs. In that, Winfield Corporation is
definetly a leader in minimizing problems that result in the
collection of infectious and hazardous waste in hospitals.
