All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br /> #36 Equipment/Utensils/Linens: Proper Storage / Use <br />OBSERVATIONS: CO2 tanks are not properly secured. Make sure chain is tied up to a rigid structure. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All clean and soiled linen shall be properly stored non-food items shall be stored and displayed separate from <br />food and food-contact surfaces. (114185.3 - 114185.4) Utensils and equipment shall be handled and stored so as to be protected from <br />contamination. (114074 - 114075, 114081, 114119, 114121, 114161, 114178, 114179, 114083, 114185, 114185.2, 114185.5) <br /> #41 Plumbing Maintained; Approved Back Flow Device <br />OBSERVATIONS: Lack of hot water handle in employee rest room. Provide handle by 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: The potable water supply shall be protected with a backflow or back siphonage protection device, as required <br />by applicable plumbing codes. (114192) All plumbing and plumbing fixtures shall be installed in compliance with local plumbing <br />ordinances, shall be maintained so as to prevent any contamination, and shall be kept clean, fully operative, and in good repair. Any hose <br />used for conveying potable water shall be of approved materials, labeled, properly stored, and used for no other purpose. (114171, <br />114189.1, 114190, 114193, 114193.1, 114199, 114201, 114269) <br /> #48 Compliance with Plan Review Requirements <br />OBSERVATIONS: Facility is in the process of new construction. New dinning room area will be getting 2 new rest rooms, <br />mop sink, and a dry storage area. Plans were not submitted. Room finish shall be up to code as explained to the owner. <br />Walls, floors, ceilings shall be smooth, cleanable, and non absorbent. Painted walls and ceilings shall have either ceramic <br />tiles or semi-gloss paint. T-Bar ceiling tiles shall be vinyl coated in dry storage area. Floors in rest room, mop sink area, and <br />dry storage shall be ceramic tiles. Base shall be also coved ceramic tiles with 3/8 inch radius coving (or use coved metal <br />schluter. DO NOT INSTALL RUBBER BASE. Provide a minimum water heater for this area of at least 10 gallon capacity. <br />Hot water shall be at least 120 F. Mop sink faucet shall have a back flow preventer device. <br />CALL THIS DEPARTMENT FOR INSPECTION AFTER REMODEL IS COMPLETED <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A person proposing to build or remodel a food facility shall submit plans for approval before starting any new <br />construction or remodeling of any facility for use as a retail food facility.
