WET -PIPE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS <br />Section 15360 <br />15-1207 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br />A. The requirements of the GENERAL CONDITIONS, SUPPLEMENTARY <br />CONDITIONS, SPECIAL CONDITIONS and DIVISION 1 GENERAL <br />REQUIREMENTS, apply to the work of this section. <br />B. All Division 15300 Sections. <br />1.02 SUMMARY <br />A. General: Furnish and install all engineering, design, materials, tools, equipment <br />and perform all labor necessary for the complete installation of a wet -pipe fire <br />sprinkler system and related items to provide complete functional systems in <br />accordance with the requirements of 2013 NFPA 13 and the 2013 CBC, in all <br />areas of the building. <br />B. Fire Sprinkler System to include, but not limited to: <br />1. All pipe, fittings, sprinklers, hangers, valves, braces and all other <br />accessories as necessary or required for a complete and operational <br />system complying with all applicable codes. <br />C. The water supply information used for system design shall be obtained from the <br />Local Fire Marshal and/or Water Provider prior to bid. The Contractor shall <br />perform or obtain current water flow information at the nearest fire hydrant prior to <br />commencing design of the fire sprinkler system. <br />D. Design / Calculations: The fire sprinkler system shall be designed and sized in <br />accordance with 2010 NFPA No. 13, 2010 California Building Code Title 24 <br />Part 2 and Part 9 (CBSA) and Division of State Architect requirements. All <br />hydraulic calculations shall be included in submittals. Provide the current water <br />flow test information with hydraulic calculations results from tested fire hydrant. <br />The design criteria: <br />Fire sprinkler system shall be designed for Light Hazard Occupancy, <br />0.10 gpm over Req'd sq. ft. for cafeteria, lobby, offices, restrooms, <br />corridors, and unused attic space, etc. <br />2. Fire sprinkler system shall be designed for Ordinary Hazard Group 1, <br />0.15 gpm over Req'd sq. ft. for food service, custodian, dry storage, <br />refrigerator and freezer boxes. <br />3. Fire sprinkler system shall be designed for Ordinary Hazard Group 2, <br />0.20 gpm over Req'd sq. ft. for electrical and table storage. <br />
