WET -PIPE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS <br />Section 15360 <br />15-1207 <br />L. Sleeves: Pipe Shields Inc., Model WFB, galvanized steel. <br />M. Plates/Collars: 24 -gauge galvanized sheet metal. Escutcheons: Polished <br />chrome plated brass or painted metal. <br />2.03 FIRE ALARM <br />A. Alarm Bell: Furnish for installation by electrician. UL listed, exterior and <br />interior Fire Alarm Bell in a location approved by the architect. <br />2.04 SYSTEM TYPE <br />A. The fire protection system for this building shall be "WET" system or Pre -Action, <br />in accordance with NFPA 13 requirements. See plans for requirements. <br />B. All heads exposed to freezing conditions shall be dry pendant type heads. All <br />piping shall be run inside building on the warm side of the building insulation. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSTALLATION <br />A. General <br />1. Install all work in accordance with requirements of NFPA 13 and the Fire <br />Marshal. Notify the Fire Marshal in a timely manner when the installation <br />progressed for required inspections. <br />2. Coordinate the installation of this work with adjacent or related work under other <br />sections of the specifications. Any installed fire sprinkler work which interferes <br />with coordination of other trades work or fails to meet the requirements of the <br />Fire Marshal (as determined by progress or final observation) will be rejected and <br />shall be removed, replaced, or revised to an acceptable condition at the <br />contractor's expense. <br />3. Fire sprinkler, lines routed outside of the building insulation in soffits, overhangs, <br />under canopies, or in ventilated un -insulated attics shall be protected by a "dry" <br />compressed air charged or anti -freeze system. <br />4. Coordinate and install the work of this Section with related or adjacent work <br />specified under other sections of the specifications. <br />5. System piping volume shall be capable of achieving water delivery to the <br />inspector's test pipe within sixty seconds or less, starting at the normal air <br />pressure on the system and with any quick opening devices in operation. <br />6. Cutting, Notching and Patching: Unless noted otherwise on Drawings, provide all <br />cutting and notching required for work of this Section, including concrete saw <br />4 <br />
