PLUMBING SYSTEM ACCESSORIES <br />Section 15410 <br />15-1207 <br />1.03 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Product data: submit complete data of materials proposed including: <br />1. Manufacturer and model number <br />2. Clearly indicate all options, trim, and accessories. <br />3. Cross reference manufacturer's cut sheet to fixture callout ID on submittal sheet. <br />B. Operation and Maintenance Data: submit complete O&M data including: <br />1. Maintenance data and parts lists for each component. <br />2. Provide "trouble- shooting" maintenance guide <br />3. Include this data within maintenance manual <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 VALVES <br />A. General: <br />Similar valves to be by the same manufacturer. <br />2. Bronze valves shall be made with dezincification-resistant materials. Bronze valves <br />made with copper alloy (brass) containing more than 15 percent zinc are not <br />permitted. <br />3. Bronze Valves: 2"0 and smaller with threaded ends, unless otherwise indicated. <br />4. Ferrous Valves: 2'/2" 0 and larger with flanged ends, unless otherwise indicated. <br />5. Valve Pressure and Temperature Ratings: Not less than indicated and as required <br />for system pressures and temperatures. <br />6. Valve Sizes: Same as upstream piping unless otherwise indicated. <br />7. Valve Actuator Types: <br />a. Handwheel: For valves other than quarter -turn types. <br />b. Hand -lever: For quarter -turn valves 6"0 and smaller, except for plug valves. <br />C. Wrench: For plug valves with square heads. Furnish Owner with 1 wrench <br />for every 5 plug valves, for each size square plug -valve head. <br />d. Valves in Insulated Piping: With 2" stem extensions and the following <br />features: <br />(1) Gate Valves: With rising stem. <br />(2) Ball Valves: With extended operating handle of non -thermal - <br />conductive material and protective sleeve that allows operation of <br />valve without breaking the vapor seal or disturbing insulation and <br />memory stops that are fully adjustable after insulation is applied. <br />8. Valve -End Connections: <br />a. Flanged: With flanges according to ASME B16.1 for iron valves, ASME <br />B16.5 for steel valves. <br />b. Grooved: With grooves according to AWWA C606. <br />K <br />
