PLUMBING SYSTEM ACCESSORIES <br />Section 15410 <br />15-1207 <br />PART 1 — GENERAL <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br />A. This section includes plumbing accessories including the following: <br />1. <br />Valves <br />2. <br />Miscellaneous piping products <br />3. <br />Hose Bibbs and Hydrants <br />4. <br />Backflow Preventors <br />5. <br />Roof Drains <br />6. <br />Miscellaneous Drains <br />7. <br />Cleanouts <br />8. <br />Floor Drains and Floor Sinks <br />B. For additional requirements, reference Section 01810 — Systems Commissioning. <br />1.02 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Manufacturer's Qualifications: Firms regularly engaged in manufacturer of plumbing piping <br />systems products, of types, materials, and sizes required whose products have been in <br />satisfactory use in similar service for not less than 5 years. <br />B. Contractor's Qualifications: Firm with at least 5 years of successful installation experience <br />on projects with piping systems work similar to that required of project. <br />C. Requirements of Regulatory Agencies: Contractor to conform to the publications listed <br />below. Requirements of these publications are to be considered as a minimum standard. If <br />details and specifications which require more stringent work are indicated within project, <br />Contractor to provide the more stringent. <br />1. California Plumbing Code (CPC) Compliance: Comply with applicable portions of the <br />California Plumbing Code pertaining to selection and installation of plumbing <br />materials and products. Fabricate and install natural gas systems in accordance with <br />CPC. <br />2. ANSI Compliance: Fabricate and install natural gas piping in accordance with ANSI <br />B21.2, Fuel Gas Piping. <br />3. NFPA Compliance: Fabricate and install natural gas systems in accordance with <br />latest edition of NFPA 54, National Fuel Gas Code. <br />4. Utility Compliance: Fabricate and install natural gas systems in accordance with <br />local gas utility company requirements. <br />5. ASME B31.9 for building services piping valves. <br />6. NSF Compliance: NSF 61 for valve materials for potable -water service <br />D. All plumbing components intended to dispense water for human consumption shall comply <br />with requirements of California Assembly Bill AB1953. Components to include (but not <br />limited to): piping, faucets, angle stops, valves, bubblers, drinking fountains, piping, etc. <br />
