PLUMBING SYSTEM ACCESSORIES <br />Section 15410 <br />15-1207 <br />M. Seismic Gas Valve: <br />1. Little Firefighter Corporation Seismic Valve or equal <br />a. Size to match adjacent piping. <br />b. Valve to be rated for gas service pressure. <br />C. Valve to be in compliance with California Standard for Earthquake Actuated <br />Automatic Gas Shutoff Systems. <br />d. Valve to be certified by DSA Gas Shutoff Valve Certification Program. <br />2.02 MISCELLANEOUS PIPING PRODUCTS <br />A. Backwater Valves <br />1. Provide flapper type backwater valve where indicated on drawings. <br />2. Valve to be a Zurn, model Z-1090 or equal <br />3. Provide with Christy Model B16 or equal utility box, 12" by 22". <br />B. Trap Primers <br />Provide trap primers as indicated, 1/2 -inch size, with built-in air gap. Provide with <br />1/2 -inch shut-off valve. Install trap primer and shut-off valve within a water -tight <br />stainless steel wall box. <br />a. One trap primer to be installed per drain. Distribution units shall not be <br />utilized on this project. <br />2. Acceptable Manufacturers: <br />a. Precision Plumbing Products "Prime Rite" <br />b. Sioux Chief Manufacturing Company "Prime Perfect" <br />C. MiFab "M-500 Series" <br />C. Water Hammer Arrestors <br />Provide water branch lines at single fixtures with a manufactured water hammer <br />arrestor. Water hammer arrestors shall be sized per Plumbing Drainage Institute <br />Standard PDI-WH201 "Water Hammer Arrestors." <br />2. Water hammer arrestor to be with nesting type bellows contained within a casing <br />having sufficient displacement volume to dissipate the calculated kinetic energy <br />generated in piping system. Both casing and bellows constructed of Type 304 <br />stainless steel. Arrestor to have a threaded connection. <br />3. Where multiple fixtures are located in a row or battery a single or multiple water <br />hammer arrestors, as required, may be used. Multiple fixture installations shall have <br />the arrestor sized and located per standard PDI-WH201 and the manufacturer's <br />installation instructions. <br />a. Provide Access door for water hammer arrestors in restrooms containing <br />more than 1 flush valve type fixture. <br />4. All water hammer arrestors shall have male pipe thread connections. <br />5. Water hammer arrestor to be a Zurn model Z1700 or equal. <br />C.1 <br />
