Piping Escutcheons: <br />Provide chrome plated brass pipe escutcheons with inside diameter closely fitting <br />pipe outside diameter or outside of pipe insulation where pipe is insulated. <br />2. Select outside diameter of escutcheon to completely cover pipe penetration hole in <br />floors, walls, ceilings, or pipe sleeve extension, if any. <br />3. Furnish pipe escutcheons with nickel or chrome finish and screw or spring clamping <br />device with concealed hinge <br />E. Pipe Sleeves: <br />Where pipes pass through concrete floors or walls, install galvanized metal or plastic <br />sleeves having not less than 1/2 -inch or more than 1 -inch clearance around sides of <br />the pipe or pipe covering for the full thickness of the concrete. <br />2. Sleeve Seals: <br />Provide sleeve seals for sleeves located in foundation walls below grade or in <br />exterior walls as follows: <br />a. Foundations: Lead and oakum, caulked between sleeve opening and pipe. <br />b. Walls Below Grade: Modular -mechanical type, consisting of interlocking <br />synthetic rubber links shaped to continuously fill annular space between pipe <br />and sleeve, connected with bolts and pressure plates which cause rubber <br />sealing elements to expand when tightened, providing watertight seal and <br />electrical insulation. <br />2.
