Roughing -in for sinks and lavatories shall be brought in through the wall under the centerline <br />of the drain from the fixture wherever possible and as close to the fixture as possible. <br />E. Provide all water supplies to fixtures with compression shut-off stops. Stops to be as <br />follows: <br />1. IPS inlets with threaded brass nipples at pipe connection <br />2. Lock shield -loose key. <br />3. Provide combination fixtures with compression stop on each water supply fitting. <br />a. Provide loose key handle for each stop. <br />4. At classroom sinks providing water to a faucet and bubbler, provide dual outlet stop. <br />F. Provide 1/2 -inch rigid risers for all fixtures, unless otherwise noted. <br />G. Unless noted otherwise, all finish for exposed metal trim on fixture shall be polished <br />chromium plated. <br />1. This also applies to wall flanges, nuts, and washers. <br />2. Trim exposed under sinks shall be considered exposed and to be chromium plated. <br />3. Handles on all faucets and stops shall be all -metal chromium plated. <br />H. Make connection between fixtures and flanges on soil pipe gastight and watertight with <br />neoprene -type gaskets (wall -hung fixtures) or bowl wax (floor outlet fixtures). <br />1. Rubber gaskets or putty will not be permitted. <br />P -Traps <br />1. Provide fixtures not having integral traps with chromium plated P -trap connected to <br />concealed waste within wall and sanitary fittings. Trap to be: <br />a. Cast Brass <br />b. 17 -gauge <br />2. Provide ADA fixtures waste offsets. <br />3. Acceptable Manufacturers: <br />a. McGuire Manufacturing <br />b. Dearborn Brass <br />C. Or equal <br />J. Unions on waste pipes on fixture side of traps may be slip or flange joints with soft rubber or <br />lead gaskets. <br />K. Water closets shall be independently testing and shall have a minimum MAP score of 1000. <br />2.02 PLUMBING FIXTURE HANGERS AND SUPPORTS: <br />A. Install and support plumbing fixtures as required and specified herein. <br />B. Carriers and supports <br />1. Provide as recommended by fixture manufacturer for the particular installation and <br />type of fixture being installed. <br />2. Residential -type fixture supports are not acceptable. <br />2 <br />
