The controller shall have flexible wiring configurations to <br />operate individually or control up to eight additional controllers. <br />2.02 GAS FIRED TANKLESS WATER HEATER <br />A. Acceptable Manufacturers: <br />1. Takagi <br />2. or equal <br />B. General: <br />Water heater to be fully modulating gas fired tankless on demand water heater <br />with power vented flue. Heater to be of size, capacity, and electrical <br />characteristics as noted on Drawings. <br />2. Water heater to be rated for indoor use to supply hot water to domestic hot water <br />system. <br />3. Water heaters to be ultra-low NOX as required by Sacramento Air Quality Board. <br />C. Comply with ANSI/ASHRAE/IES-90.1 b A for energy efficiency. Provide UL listing, CSA <br />Listed, and NSF approval. <br />D. Water heater to have the following characteristics: <br />Flash type tankless water heater with copper coil integral fin and tube <br />construction with quick release brass or bronze waterways. <br />2. Heater to be controlled by onboard solid state printed circuit board monitoring <br />incoming and outgoing temperatures with factory installed thermistors, sensing <br />and controlling flow rate to set point temperature which controls both air and gas <br />mixture inputs to maintain thermal combustion efficiency. <br />3. Unit to also be equipped with ground fault interrupter, inline fusing, spark ignition <br />and sensor system, aluminized stainless steel burners, vent pressure switch, hi <br />limit switch, modulating and proportional gas valves, freeze protection sensor <br />and heating blocks, and overheat cut-off fuses. <br />E. Provide with the following Options and/or Accessories: <br />Provide thermal expansion control valve, brass drain valve and 3/4 -inch <br />temperature and pressure relief valve. <br />2. Temperature Remote Controller. <br />3. Condensate neutralization kit. <br />F. Warranty: Furnish two year parts warranty on entire water heater and a seven year <br />warranty on the heat exchanger. <br />3 <br />
