EXHAUST FANS AND HOODS <br />Section 15880 <br />15-1207 <br />a. Were fans are mounted on vibration isolators, provide corner operating <br />weight data for each fan. <br />9. Air flow capacity, fan curves, and efficiency data <br />10. Static pressure <br />11. Fan motor drive <br />12. Motor HP and Fan bHP <br />13. Sound Power: discharge and inlet for each octave band. <br />B. In cases of Substitution, equivalent fan shall not (when compared to basis of design fan): <br />1. Increase motor horsepower <br />2. Increase bHP by more than 5% <br />3. Increase noise level <br />4. Increase tip speed by more than 10% <br />5. Increase air inlet velocity by more than 20% <br />C. Maintenance Data: Submit operations and maintenance data and parts list for each fan <br />type. Include this data in Maintenance Manual. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 ACCEPTABLE MANUFACTURERS <br />A. General Exhaust Fans, Inline Centrifugal Fans, Roof Exhaust fans, and Cabinet Fans: <br />1. Greenheck <br />2. Loren Cook <br />3. Twin Cities Fan and Blower <br />B. Provide motors so that they cannot be overloaded above nameplate rating throughout the <br />full speed range of the adjustable pitch driving sheave. <br />B. Fan wheels shall be balanced statically and dynamically near operating speed. <br />C. Provide drives and guards conforming to the requirements hereinbefore specified. <br />D. Fan construction, speed, noise level, tip speeds, outlet velocities and efficiencies will be <br />taken into consideration in approval of fans offered. Fans shall be as scheduled on <br />drawings, or approved equal. <br />K <br />
