General: Construct and seal ductwork in accordance with SMACNA pressure classifications <br />and seal classes listed for ductwork systems involved. <br />1. Minimum duct gauge for concealed ductwork to be 26 gauge. <br />2. Minimum duct gauge for ductwork exposed to weather to be 22 gauge. <br />3. Provide 20 gauge minimum for ductwork exposed within occupied areas. <br />B. Rectangular Ductwork: <br />1. +2" W.G. Class ductwork: <br />a. Supply air Ductwork downstream of terminal boxes. <br />b. Constant volume supply air ductwork in systems without terminal boxes <br />2. -2" W.G. Class ductwork: <br />a. General exhaust ductwork. <br />b. Return Air Ductwork <br />C. Round or oval ductwork: Same as rectangular ductwork <br />2.03 GENERAL: <br />A. All duct sizes listed on drawings are internal free area. Increase duct size as required for <br />internal insulation. <br />B. Galvanized Sheet Steel to be lock -forming quality, ASTM A924 and ASTM. Coating to be <br />Designation G90. Provide mill phosphatized finish for exposed surfaces of ducts exposed to <br />view. <br />1. Provide mill certification for galvanized material at request of IOR. <br />C. Tapers to be as follows: <br />1. Limit diverging tapers to a maximum of 30 degrees. <br />3 <br />
