DUCT ACCESSORIES <br />Section 15910 <br />15-1207 <br />6. Provide with manufacturer's electronic actuator. Actuator shall be electric type <br />120V/1 0. Provide spring -return, fail closed type operators that close damper upon <br />power interruption. Damper operators shall be UL listed as fire damper operators, <br />and shall bear the appropriate UL operator label. <br />7. Provide each combination fire/smoke damper with a factory sleeve of length and <br />gauge required for satisfactory installation, with damper operator. Mount operator <br />and switch outside the duct and outside of the fire wall to prevent interference with <br />rated installation retaining angles. <br />8. Equip each combination fire/smoke damper with an electric re-settable link causing <br />damper to close and lock in a closed position at 165°F. Fusible links that melt are <br />not acceptable. <br />9. Pressure drop for smoke dampers shall not exceed that listed by manufacturer by <br />10% and shall be not be more than 0.1" sp at 2,000 fpm. <br />10. Provide controlled closure and locking of damper to occur in 3 to 15 seconds. <br />Instantaneous closure is not acceptable. <br />11. Provide with Ruskin model SP 100, or equal, Switch Package: Two position <br />indicator switches linked directly to damper blade to remotely indicate damper blade <br />position. <br />C. Rectangular Dampers: <br />1. Provide airfoil -shaped, double skin blades, with 14 gauge equivalent thickness, <br />maximum 6 inches wide, having shafts/bearings designed to meet temperature <br />requirements. Provide 5 inches by 16 gauge galvanized channel frame. Seal blade <br />edges with silicone rubber and jamb with flexible metal compression. <br />2. Dampers shall be Ruskin FSD60 or equal with dynamic rating. <br />3. Dampers installed in vertical shafts shall have vertical blades similar to Ruskin <br />FSD60V, or equal. <br />D. Round Dampers: <br />1. Construct dampers similar to rectangular dampers except with sleeve and <br />connection for round ducts. <br />2. Dampers shall be Ruskin FSDR true round up to 24 diameter with dynamic rating. <br />E. Ceiling Fire/Smoke Damper <br />1. Damper shall be Ruskin FSD36C with dynamic rating. <br />2.04 FIRE DAMPERS <br />A. Acceptable Manufacturers: <br />1. Ruskin <br />2. Greenheck <br />3. Nailor <br />4. Air Balance <br />B. Provide Ruskin model DIBD2 , or equal, series dynamic curtain type fire damper. <br />C. General: <br />1. Fire dampers shall have a rating of 1 Y2 hours in accordance with UL 555. <br />2.
