HANGERS AND SUPPORTS <br />FOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS <br />Section 16012 <br />15-1207 <br />A. Submit details and calculations for support and anchors that are not specifically <br />detailed on the Drawings where required by California Building Standards Code, <br />California Code of Regulations, Title 24. Pre -approved systems may be used as <br />noted below only if the pre -approval is current and accepted by the local agency <br />having jurisdiction. <br />B. Where pre -approved bracing systems will be employed, submit: <br />1. System component brochure describing components used and detailed <br />installation instructions. <br />2. Loads to be transmitted to the structure at anchor points. <br />C. Where pre -approved bracing systems are not used, submit details and <br />calculations of proposed systems. Include: <br />1. Detailed drawings and calculations showing system to be installed, <br />stamped by a Structural Engineer registered in the state of California. <br />2. Loads to be transmitted to the structure at anchor points. <br />D. Submit detailed routing and installation drawings of all raceway systems requiring <br />seismic supports for review. Include attachment points, raceway sizes and <br />methods proposed for securing and attaching. <br />1.8 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Through Penetration Firestopping of Fire Rated Assemblies: UL 1479 with 0.10 <br />inch water gage minimum positive pressure differential to achieve fire F -Ratings <br />and temperature T -Ratings as indicated on Drawings, but not less than 1 -hour. <br />1. Wall Penetrations: Fire F -Ratings as indicated on Drawings, but not less <br />than 1 -hour. <br />2. Floor Penetrations: Fire F -Ratings and temperature T -Ratings as <br />indicated on Drawings, but not less than 1 -hour. <br />a. Floor Penetrations Within Wall Cavities: T -Rating is not required. <br />B. Through Penetration Firestopping of Non -Fire Rated Floor and Roof Assemblies: <br />Materials to resist free passage of flame and products of combustion. <br />1. Noncombustible Penetrating Items: Noncombustible materials for <br />penetrating items connecting maximum of three stories. <br />2. Penetrating Items: Materials approved by authorities having jurisdiction <br />for penetrating items connecting maximum of two stories. <br />1.9 QUALIFICATIONS <br />A. Manufacturer: Company specializing in manufacturing Products specified in this <br />section with minimum three years experience. <br />1.10 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br />A. Accept materials on site in original factory packaging, labeled with manufacturer's <br />identification. <br />3 <br />
