CONDUIT, FITTINGS & <br />SUPPORTS <br />Section 16021 <br />15-1207 <br />1) Exposed EMT shall be supported with one (1) hole strap within thirty-six <br />inches (36") of connector or within thirty-six inches (36") on each side of <br />coupling. <br />b. Galvanized iron hanger rods sizes one-quarter inch (1/4") diameter and larger with <br />spring steel fasteners, clips or clamps specifically designed for purpose for conduit <br />up to one inch (1") size may be used. <br />C. Individual conduit three-quarter inch (3/4") and smaller run above suspended <br />ceilings shall be supported from an independent hanger wire with approved spring <br />steel clips. Conduit shall not be secured to, or supported by, the ceiling assembly, <br />including ceiling support wires. <br />d. Support conduit to wood structure by means of bolts or lag screws in shear, to <br />concrete by means of insert or expansion bolts and to brickwork by means of <br />expansion bolts. <br />e. Support multi -parallel vertical conduit runs with galvanized "Unistrut", or approved <br />equal, type supports anchored to wall. Where larger conduit of multi -story buildings <br />pass through floors, support conduit with riser clamps at each floor. <br />21.
