SOUND & COMMUNICATION <br />SYSTEMS <br />Section 16700 <br />15-1207 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 CONDITIONS: <br />A. The Requirements of General Conditions and Special Conditions apply to Work of this <br />Section as if fully repeated herein. <br />B. The Requirements of this Section apply to all Work of Division 16. <br />1.02 WORK INCLUDED: <br />A. Furnish and install a complete and operational microprocessor based School <br />Inter -Communication System. The System shall also provide for IP Clock System, and <br />Class -pass Signaling Systems, equipment and accessories. Any omission in specified <br />equipment will not relieve supplier of responsibility for furnishing complete functioning <br />systems. <br />B. Equipment vendor shall check Drawings for adequacy of conductors and raceways for <br />his proposed system. Contractor/vendor shall include in his bid all required raceways <br />and conductors to suit proposed system for a complete operational system. <br />1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE: <br />A. Latest applicable publications listed below form a part of this Specification: <br />CEC 2013 California Electrical Code <br />ADA Title 3 of the Americans with Disabilities Act <br />CCR Titles 19 and 24 of the California Code of Regulations <br />UMC 2013 Uniform Building Code and 2013 California Amendments <br />UBC 2013 Uniform Building Code and 2013 California Amendments <br />EIA/TIA Electronic Industries Association/Telecommunications Industry <br />Association. Building Telecommunications Wiring Standards: <br />TIA/EIA-569, EIA/TIA-570, TIA/EIA-606, TIA/EIA-607, TIA/EIA TSB <br />67, TIA/EIA TSB 72. <br />B. All communication and clock system equipment and associated wiring shall be installed <br />by authorized factory technician of specified equipment. <br />1.04 GUARANTEE: <br />A. Submit one (1) year guarantee in accordance with and in form required. Assume full <br />responsibility for performance on entire systems, including guarantee for equipment <br />against defects in material and workmanship for therm specified and provide on the <br />
