premises service during normal working hours for said term, at no cost to purchaser if <br />trouble is not caused by misuse, abuse, or accident, or at current labor rates if so <br />caused. Service shall be available within twenty-four (24) hours. <br />1.05 REQUIREMENTS: <br />A. Provide three (3) sets of "Operation Manuals". Deliver two (2) sets to Architect; place <br />one (1) set on equipment. Equip each autonomous system with one (1) "Operation <br />Manual". Chain (size "0" brass -steel safety chain) Manual to inside of storage rack or <br />cabinet door. <br />1. Bind each "Operation Manual" in General Binding Corporation Model 402-452 <br />binder, diameter as required. Place name of project and name of system on front <br />cover of Manual. <br />2. Separate each system in Manuals by General Binding Corporation Model 101636 <br />insertable index tabs. Type name of each section of Manual and insert in each <br />side of tab. <br />3. First page of Manual shall indicate project's name and location, name address and <br />telephone number of Contractor. <br />4. Each "Operation and Service Manual" shall include all instructions necessary for <br />proper operation and servicing of system and shall include complete 2 -wire circuit <br />diagrams of system, wiring destination schedule for each circuit leaving rack, <br />schematic diagram of each amplifier and other major component, transistor <br />compliments and replacement part numbers. <br />5. Each "Operation and Service Manual" shall also include a copy of approved <br />performance test and all "As -Built Drawings", showing all cables and "As -Built" <br />coding used on cable. All data in all Manuals shall be typewritten or neatly <br />printed. <br />B. Contractor shall furnish a minimum of eight (8) hours of in service training with this <br />system. These sessions shall be broken into segments that will facilitate the training of <br />individuals in operating station equipment, administrative devices, user programming <br />functions, and program distribution equipment. Operating Manuals and User's Guides <br />shall be provided at the time of training. Send letter to Architect giving date of <br />instruction and names of Owner's personnel who were instructed. <br />C. Furnish Shop Drawings, including One -Line Diagrams, for each unified system. <br />Provide two (2) cross reference lists; first listing items of equipment with specified system <br />function each item provides, and second, listing specified system functions with item of <br />equipment which performs each function. Reuse of the Contract Drawings for Shop <br />Drawings will not be acceptable. Also, refer to requirements for Shop Drawings, <br />substitutions, materials, and submittals in General Conditions of the Contract and <br />Division 1, General Conditions. <br />D. In order to provide evidence of capability to provide for repair and restoration of this <br />signaling system within 24 hours of notification, all drawings submitted for approval on <br />installation shall bear in title block of drawings wording as follows: "Service for repair <br />and restoration on this fire alarm system may be obtained within 24 hours by calling..." <br />(Equipment supplier's name, address, and telephone number of concern who will <br />provide service). <br />4 <br />
