SOUND & COMMUNICATION <br />SYSTEMS <br />Section 16700 <br />15-1207 <br />Furnish and install Secondary Clocks as shown on Plans and specified herein. <br />Dials shall be white and black with the sweep second hand finished in red. <br />a. The clock movement shall have a protective dust cover. The clock schedule <br />is as follows: <br />1) 12" Flush for combination clock/speaker units. <br />2) 15" for MultiPurpose rooms. <br />2. Where combination clock and speaker units are desired and indicated on the <br />Plans, provide a twelve inch (12") flush type clock and coordinated with <br />communications Systems trade to match baffle. <br />D. Master Clock Kit: Valcom #V-CLK, installed as a complete and operational system per <br />manufacturers installation manual. Interconnect to intercom system as required. <br />E. Clock/ IP Speaker enclosure and baffle: Valcom #VE4031-A and analog clock. <br />F. Outdoor weatherproof speaker, enclosure and baffle: Valcom #V-9805. <br />G. Administrative Telephone: <br />H. Assisted Listening System: <br />Provide (1) one complete separate system per room where noted on drawings. <br />Williams Sound Digi -Wave system: (1) Digital Transceiver, microphone and Digi -Wave <br />dock. Digital Receivers with headphones (4% of total seating capacity), base charger <br />(capacity for simultaneous charging), (1) Storage Case for all components. Make <br />provisions to connect to multi -media system/network, charging station, locate at learning <br />wall casework near power source. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSTALLATION: <br />A. Workmanship on installed systems shall be of professional quality, best commercial <br />practice, and accomplished by persons experienced in techniques and standards of <br />wired communications system industry. Wire and cable shall be as shown, installed <br />and connected as per manufacturer's instructions. Final connection shall be made by <br />sound distributor's technicians. All cables shall be run in continuous lengths between <br />terminal cabinets to equipment, no splicing permitted. Special care shall be taken to <br />insure proper slack or loops being left in junction boxes. Length of free ends to be left in <br />terminal cabinets and equipment backboxes shall be at least equal to width plus height of <br />terminal cabinet or backbox in every instance, and in no case less than twelve inches <br />(12"). <br />B. Plug Disconnect: All major equipment components shall be fully pluggable by means of <br />multi -pin receptacle and matching plugs to provide for ease of maintenance and service. <br />
