Meetings shall be scheduled by the Contractor on a building by building basis and shall include <br />the Project Inspector, School's Representative, the electrical subcontractor, and the Fire Alarm <br />System subcontractor as a minimum. <br />3.03 TESTS <br />A. One-half to three-quarters of the way through project, District Facilities will set up a meeting <br />(preferably at the school site) with decision makers from Facilities, Police Services, <br />Maintenance, Maintenance Alarm Tech, General Contractor, Alarm Sub -contractor, and School <br />Administrator to review the alarm protocol and to identify responsible personnel and timelines <br />for the items listed in paragraph D, which follows. <br />B. After all equipment specified herein has been installed and is in operating condition, <br />performance tests shall be conducted by Contractor in accordance with, but not limited to, <br />Table 14.4.2.2, NFPA 72 to verify that installation and components comply with these <br />specifications. Contractor shall furnish competent personnel for these tests. Testing shall be <br />scheduled with the Owner and shall occur after receipt by Architect of Contractor's written <br />certification of completion, record one -line diagram, wiring diagrams, maintenance and <br />operation manuals, and other "As -Built" data required by these specifications. <br />C. Upon completion of the installation of the fire protective signaling equipment and after <br />satisfactory performance tests have been conducted, a satisfactory demonstration of the entire <br />system shall be made in the presence of the Project Inspector. Contractor shall coordinate with <br />Project Inspector and School. Demonstration shall be completed prior to occupancy by School <br />and prior to final testing with the Owner. <br />D. After system is completely tested, the Contractor shall take the following actions with the <br />Owner: <br />1. The Contractor will schedule a meeting with the Alarm Sub -contractors and Owner's <br />Representatives to determine alarm zone and device nomenclature. The Contractor shall <br />insure that the alarm zone and device nomenclature matches the actual building and room <br />numbers used by the school. Architectural numbering shall not be used. Once confirmed, <br />the Contractor shall demonstrate this to Owner's Representatives. <br />3.04 FIRE ALARM SYSTEM CERTIFICATION <br />A. Fire Alarm System Certification: Written certification on the form found in Figure 10.18.2.1.1, <br />NFPA 72 shall be submitted by the Contractor to Project Inspector stating for himself and the <br />equipment manufacturer that component parts are as LISTED AND APPROVED BY State Fire <br />Marshal, that the installation conforms in all respects to requirements as set forth in the <br />California Electrical Code, that acceptance testing has been performed in the presence of the <br />Project Inspector. Contractor shall complete and sign form and submit to Project Inspector. <br />END OF SECTION <br />C. <br />
