letters. Where the ceiling is solid, the sign shall be attached at the access door nearest <br />to the junction box. <br />E. Conduits: <br />1. Minimum conduit size for multiple conductor runs shall be Y2". <br />F. Wiring: <br />1. Wiring shall run continuous from device to device. Place wiring in termination and <br />control panels in Panduit wiring channels and form in a neat professional looking <br />manner. No splices shall be permitted except at terminal blocks installed in termination <br />cabinets. The use of wire nuts or crimp type connectors shall not be permitted unless <br />specifically approve by the Maintenance or Information Technology, Facilities, Auxiliary <br />Services section. Wiring shall be in metal conduit. Where shielded wire is used it shall <br />be connected to an earth ground at the mails panel. <br />G. Termination Cabinets: <br />Where termination cabinets are used they shall be installed on walls or in walls in <br />finished areas. Each termination cabinet shall have a hinged cover with a lock installed <br />flush with the cover. These locks shall be keyed alike. Each termination cabinet shall <br />be marked with a sign with the words "sec. termination cabinet" attached to the front <br />cover. This sign shall be constructed from red laminated plastic with '/" white engraved <br />letters. <br />SYSTEM VERIFICATION <br />H. The security equipment supplier shall make a thorough inspection of the complete installed <br />system including all additional components to insure the following: <br />1. Regulations covering supervision of components are adhered to. <br />TESTING AND GUARANTEE <br />Guarantee all wiring and equipment free from inherent mechanical and electrical defects for <br />a period of one (1) year from the date of the installation and acceptance of Manteca Unified <br />School District. Submit a written test report from an authorized representative of the equipment manufacturer <br />that the system has been 100% tested and approved. Submit prior to request for final <br />payment. <br />K. Test each individual circuit and device for proper operation in the presence of Manteca <br />UnifiedSchool District's Maintenance personnel. Correct all failures and retest at no <br />expense to District to verify corrections. Ccrrec# as -built drawings, to reflect School District's <br />final occupancy room numbers. <br />L. Provide a CD or DVD of the system operations and maintenance instructions. <br />M. Operations and Maintenance Manual: Shall include manufacturers data sheets; <br />maintenance and operation information sheets; as -built drawings showing the final room <br />numbers, a separate sheet listing all the terminal cabinets and their locations and the exact <br />and specific function of the device as to what it actually is monitoring or operating and any <br />other information available that pertains to the system construction, operation, or <br />6 <br />
