For network equipment rack elevations, labeling and naming standards for MDF/IDF <br />enclosures/cabinets, fiber, copper patch panel, station jacks, WAPs, VoIP display, network <br />equipment, etc., please refer to Network Infrastructure and Design: 001-Rev.F Labeling Scheme <br />and Naming Convention Standard. <br />Chan a Lo <br />Revision <br />I Date <br />Changes/Changes made by: <br />A <br />6/23/2015 <br />Created Document, by Un el Mamon <br />PART 3 — EXECUTION <br />3.1 HORIZONTAL CABLE ROUTING: <br />A= Contractor shall place all cables in the ceiling area on contractor supplied and in -stalled wire <br />hangers or in floor spaces and raceways. Contractor also shall assess whether or not the <br />ceiling space is a plenum air return that shall dictate the use of the listed plenum type or PVC <br />type cable required in the materials specification section. The cables will be routed to their <br />respective TC, utilizing the shortest path possible. Note: DATA CABLE RUNS ARE NOT TO <br />EXCEED 295 FEET. Verify riser cable routing with the Owner prior to installation. Use of <br />existing conduits must be approved by the Owner prior to installation and percentage of conduit <br />fill must be approved by the Owner prior to installation. When cables are routed in non -ceiling <br />spaces, such as below raised flooring, the Contractor shall assess whether or not the space is a <br />plenum air r etur n. Cables shall LJ run <br />i <br />in corridors wherever possible in order to avoid furniture and work areas so that access to the <br />cables is unencumbered. <br />3.2 WALL PENETRATIONS: <br />A. The Contractor is required to provide all the necessary labor and material to install sufficient <br />cable pathways (conduit sleeves) through fire walls, common walls, floors and ceilings, and not <br />excluding outside perimeter building walls and all building infrastructures for the horizontal and <br />vertical cabling. All penetration and conduit sleeves will be fire blocked with the required rated <br />materials approved by the Owner. Vendor shall adhere to the California Electrical Code (CEC) <br />for methods of installation and materials selections. All coring/penetration through <br />walls/roofs/floors shall be submitted to the Owner for approval prior to start of work. <br />3.3 INSTALLATION PARAMETERS: <br />A. Contractor is required to adhere to the following parameters whether or not Contractor and/or <br />others have placed existing equipment. Contractor shall notify the Owner of any of the following <br />requirements that cannot be met prior to commencement of installation. <br />1.
