Clipping Level: The minimum acceptable maximum level of signal applied to the <br />device under design load conditions while fully in compliance with all other <br />performance specifications. <br />7. Sensitivity: The maximum acceptable level of input signal applied to the device <br />that is necessary to provide the maximum output under design load conditions. <br />8. Design Load: The load (in ohms) specified by usage of the particular devices <br />input or output. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.1 GENERAL: <br />A. GENERAL SUMMARY— This general summary shall describe the audio requirements for <br />a Multi -use Building. Intelligible audio shall be the primary goal, although the desire to <br />provide music playback shall be a secondary requirement. The required conduits shall <br />include: <br />1. 1" conduit from the rack to a pull box located on the cafeteria wall. <br />2. The pull box shall provide a conduit pathway for a lockable surface mounted wall box <br />on the cafeteria wall. A 314" conduit to the lockable box for the touch panel controller. <br />3. A W conduit below the wall box controller to a 2 gang lockable surface mounted wall <br />box for the microphone input jack & stereo music input jack. <br />4. Provide a 314" conduit from the rack to a surface mounted 2 gang wall box located in <br />the cafeteria for the A.L.S. (Audiovisual contractor shall provide the antenna wall plate <br />and a wire guard — mount at 12' A.F.F.) <br />5. Provide a 314" conduit from the rack pull box to dual surface mounted 2 gang wall <br />boxes located in the cafeteria for the wireless microphone receivers. (Audiovisual <br />contractor shall provide the antenna wall plate and a wire guard — mount at 12'A. F. F. <br />with a minimum of 4' spacing) <br />B. Audio for both spectators' bleachers shall be generated from 8" two-way speaker <br />elements designed for line an array. The wide horizontal speaker pattern, coupled with a <br />narrow vertical coverage angle shall reduce unwanted reflections from the hard walls and <br />floor. A speaker element shall be installed at each location as indicated on the plans <br />(Total of 4). The speakers shall be aimed at the center of the spectators at court sideline. <br />A DSP (Digital, Signal Processor) shall be provided and adjusted with the aid of Smaart <br />Live7. A certified Smaart Live7 technician shall be required to verify the system for speech <br />articulation, proper coverage patterns and speaker protection. <br />D. The audio for the court shall also be generated from multiple 8" two-way speaker <br />elements designed for line arrays. The primary speaker bracket (attached to the steel beam) shall <br />accommodate mounting and adjustment for the speakers aimed toward the spectators' <br />and the subwoofer with dual speaker elements aimed towards court.
