MULTI-PURPOSE SOUND SYSTEM
Section 16780
15-1207
speakers, across the court, shall be adjusted with the proper amount of delay to reduce
the cross court echo. The delay time component shall be measured and adjusted with
Smaart Live7 to provide an accurate value for the DSP.
E. Basic control functions shall be provided from a FSR Flex LT -series controller. The
system shall be controlled with a touch panel controller installed behind a wall box. The
box shall be secured with a locking door which also provides status feedback thru a clear
acrylic window. Control functions shall include but are not limited to:
1. Power (On/Off)
2. System Presets (with or with remote mixer)
a) Preset — (2) wireless handheld microphones
b) Preset — (1) wireless handheld microphone (1) remote wireless mixer
3. Volume Control — Speakers
a) Spectators' area.
b) Main Court
4. Volume Control — Sources
a) Wall Plate — Microphone
i. Microphone Jack
ii. Music Jack
b) Wireless handheld #1 microphone
c) Wireless handheld #2 microphone / Wireless mixer transmitter
F. Each pair of spectator's speakers shall be powered from one channel of a high quality
amplifier containing two independent channels. Each channel shall be powered by a low -
impedance switching power supply. All amplifier protection systems shall be synchronized
and self -resetting upon removal of any fault. Each channel shall have circuitry to protect
against short circuits or mismatched loads. Each channel shall independently monitor heat
sink temperature and shall trigger fan speed boost, and if necessary, signal muting to
prevent excessive temperature rise. Each channel shall have DC fault protection for the
load, consisting of a shutdown of the power supply. Each channel shall have an
independent and defeatable clip limiter and a 12 dB per octave high-pass filter. The comer
frequency of the filter shall be selectable between 30 Hz and 75 Hz.
G. Each court speaker array shall be powered from a high quality amplifier which contains
four independent channels, powered by a low -impedance switching power supply. The
audiovisual contractor must terminate each pair of court speakers with one amplifier
channel. A separate amplifier channel must be terminated to each subwoofer. All amplifier
protections systems shall be synchronized and self -resetting upon removal of any fault.
Each channel shall have circuitry to protect against short circuits or mismatched loads.
Each channel shall independently monitor heat sink temperature and shall trigger fan
speed boost, and if necessary, signal muting to prevent excessive temperature rise. The corner frequency of the filter shall be selectable between
30 Hz and 75 Hz.
H. Quality of Work: Material and equipment specified herein have been selected as the basis
of acceptable quality and performance and have been coordinated to function as
components of the included systems.
