MULTI-PURPOSE SOUND SYSTEM <br />Section 16780 <br />15-1207 <br />as identified on the floor plans. The speakers mounting details and structural attachments <br />shall be installed as required by CBC and local building codes. These mounting details <br />shall be generated by the audiovisual contractor and approved by a licensed structural <br />engineer prior to installation. The speaker element shall be constructed from a molded <br />lightweight material and include an adjustable rigging system. A U -bracket may also <br />accommodate individual speaker mounting. The speaker performance shall meet or <br />exceed: <br />a. 8" Neodyminum woofer <br />b. Dual 1.5" compression drivers with each driver coupled to a 50 degree horn element. <br />c. Horizontal coverage: 1100 @ ± 6 dB <br />d. Vertical coverage: 100 @ ± 6 dB <br />e. Sensitivity: 93dB @ 1 watt/ 1 meter <br />f. Power rating: 300 watts RMS / 1200 watts Program <br />g. Maximum SPL: 124 dB <br />B. The court speakers shall be provided at each location as identified on the floor plans to <br />enhance the music during sporting events. The court speakers shall also provide speech <br />audio for temporary seating on the floor for special events. A speaker array shall be <br />constructed from two speaker elements and subwoofer. The speakers mounting details and <br />structural attachments shall be installed as required by CBC and local building codes. These <br />mounting details shall be generated by the audiovisual contractor and approved by a <br />licensed structural engineer prior to installation. The speaker element shall be constructed <br />from a molded lightweight material and include an adjustable rigging system. The speaker <br />element performance shall meet or exceed: <br />a. 8" Neodyminum woofer <br />b. Dual 1.5" compression drivers with each driver coupled to a 50 degree horn element. <br />c. Horizontal coverage: 110° @ ± 6 dB <br />d. Vertical coverage: 100 @ ± 6 dB <br />e. Sensitivity: 93dB @ 1waft/ 1 meter <br />f. Power rating: 300 watts RMS / 1200 watts Program <br />g. Maximum SPL: 124 dB <br />C. A subwoofer system must be provided to complement the speaker elements. The speaker <br />may be constructed of multiply hardwood and shall provide reinforced steel -fastener <br />construction to accommodate any overhead mounting requirement. The loudspeaker shall <br />be a single driver system consisting of a long throw magnetic structure with dual channel air <br />cooling 12 -inch woofer. The loudspeaker shall meet or exceed; <br />a. 12" Hi -Impact & long throw woofer <br />b. Frequency response: 40Hz — 120 Hz (-10dB) <br />c. Sensitivity: 96dB @ 1watt/ 1 meter <br />d. Power rating: 800 watts program <br />e. Maximum SPL: 125 dB <br />D. Speakers manufactured by Electro -Voice, JBL, LineMach, QSC, Renkus Heinz shall be <br />acceptable. <br />2.3 AUDIO DSP <br />A.
