Audio Signal Wiring Classification: <br />1. <br />Type 1: <br />Microphone level wiring. <br />2. <br />Type 2: <br />Line level wiring. <br />3. <br />Type 3: <br />3 or 4 conductor shielded. <br />4. <br />Type 6: <br />Speaker level 25 or 70 volt. <br />5. <br />Type 7: <br />Pair 10 GA. THHN Stranded. <br />6. <br />Type 8: <br />Pair 14 GA. THHN Stranded. <br />7. <br />Type 9: <br />Pair 12 GA. THHN Stranded. <br />B. Control Wiring Classification: <br />1. Type 4: DC control wiring. <br />2. Type 10: Volume control relay. <br />C. Video Wiring Classification: <br />Type 5: Video signal wiring all types. Verify exact requirements with <br />manufacturer. <br />3.5 WIRING PRACTICE: <br />A. Wiring Combinations: Acceptable in conduit, or cable harness. <br />1. Types 1,2 runs less than twenty (20) feet. <br />2. Types 1,4. <br />3. Types 2,4,5. <br />4. Types 6,7. <br />B. Except as indicated herein, conduit, wire ways and cable bundles shall contain only <br />wiring of a single classification. <br />C. All wire and cable shall be continuous and splice free for the entire length of the run <br />between designated connections or terminations. <br />E. All shielded cables shall be insulated. Do not permit shields to contact conduit, <br />raceway, boxes, panels or equipment enclosures. <br />F. All wiring shall be neatly laced and dressed within a rack_ Proper precaution with wire <br />routing is essential to prevent electromechanical, RF or electrostatic interference within <br />the rack. <br />E. Land all non -coaxial wiring entering each equipment rack at the appropriate devices <br />unless otherwise noted on 'the drawings. Coaxial cable shall always be terminated a�L <br />the appropriate devices. Separately dress, route and land microphone and line level <br />cables at telephone type, "Christmas Tree" or Quick Connect blocks on the right side of <br />the equipment enclosure, as viewed from the rear; dress, route and land loudspeaker <br />22 <br />
