SUMMARY OF WORK <br />Section 01010 <br />15-1207 <br />Construction <br />Date of facility availability TBD <br />Construction TBD <br />Begin turning over spaces to District TBD <br />Occupancy In order to accommodate a phased occupancy by the Owner, the Contractor <br />will turn the buildings over for occupancy as follows: <br />Occupancy - Staff <br />Occupancy - Students <br />Completion/Close-out <br />Substantial Completion Date TBD <br />Complete Minor Finish Work TBD <br />Complete Punch List Work TBD <br />Close-out/Completion TBD <br />1.07 EXTENDED LIQUIDATED DAMAGES <br />A. At the conclusion of the Punch List Work Completion date, all items are to be 100% finalized. <br />Should work remain uncompleted beyond this date, the Owner may re -instate liquidated <br />damages until all such work has been accepted. In addition, work uncompleted may, at the <br />Owner's option, be completed by others and charged against the contract amount. <br />1.08 OWNER OCCUPANCY <br />A. Owner may occupy other buildings on premises during construction and may be present on <br />site during summer construction period. Refer to General Conditions for requirements for <br />partial occupancy by Owner. <br />1.09 EXISTING UTILITIES <br />A. It is recognized by the District and the Contractor that the location of existing utility facilities as <br />shown on contract drawings and specifications are approximate; their exact location is <br />unknown. <br />B. Recognition is given to the fact there may be additional utilities existing on the property <br />unknown to either party to the Contract. Location of utilities as shown on drawings and <br />specifications represent the best information obtainable from utility maps and other <br />information furnished by the various agencies involved. The District warrants neither the <br />accuracy nor the extent of actual installations as shown on the drawings and specifications. <br />C. Because of this uncertainty, it may become necessary for the Architect to make adjustments <br />in the line or grade of sewers or storm drains. Installation of such adjusted lines shall be <br />made at the regular unit price bid for the work, and no additional compensation will be paid <br />therefore, unless the scope and character of the work has been changed. <br />D. The Contractor agrees and is required to coordinate and fully cooperate with the District and <br />utility owners for the location, relocation, and protection of utilities. The Contractor's attention <br />is directed to the existence of utilities, underground and overhead, necessary for all buildings <br />4 <br />
