CUTTING AND PATCHING <br />Section 01045 <br />15-1207 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 INCLUSION OF OTHER CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />A. The General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 are fully applicable to this <br />Section, as if repeated herein. <br />1.02 RELATED WORK SPECIFIED ELSEWHERE <br />A. Section 01010, Summary of Work. <br />B. Section 01300, Submittals. <br />C. Section 02210, Trenching and Backfilling. <br />1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Use only new materials and products, unless existing materials or products are specifically <br />shown otherwise on the Drawings to be salvaged and re -used. <br />B. Use materials and products of one manufacturer whenever possible. <br />C. All materials, components, assemblies, workmanship and installation are to be observed by <br />the Owner's Project Inspector. Work not so inspected is subject to uncovering and <br />replacement. <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Refer to Section 01300. <br />B. Manufacturer's Data: Submit list and complete descriptive data of all products proposed for <br />use. Include manufacturer's specifications, published warranty or guarantee, installation <br />instructions, and maintenance instructions. <br />C. Samples: The following samples are required. Submit per Section 01300. <br />1. Submit sample for each type of material used to Architect for review. <br />2. Manufacturer's full range of colors for Architect's selection. <br />D. Submit executed Guarantee of Contractor/Subcontractor per Article 1.05. <br />E. Submit a written request to Architect well in advance of executing any cutting or alteration <br />which affects: <br />1. Work of the Owner or any separate contractor. <br />2. Structural value or integrity of any element of the Project. <br />3. Integrity or effectiveness of weather -exposed or moisture -resistant elements or <br />systems. <br />4. Efficiency, operational life, maintenance or safety of operational elements. <br />5. Visual qualities of sight -exposed elements. <br />6. No cutting of structural elements is allowed unless per the Division of the State <br />Architect's approved drawings. <br />
