TESTING LABORATORY SERVICES <br />Section 01400 <br />15-1207 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 INCLUSION OF OTHER CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />A. The General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 are fully applicable to this <br />Section, as if repeated herein. <br />1.02 RELATED SECTIONS AND DOCUMENTS <br />A. Geologic Hazards & Soils Report. <br />B. Section 01300, Submittals. <br />C. Section 01700, Contract Closeout. <br />D. Section 02200, Earthwork. <br />E. Division 15, Mechanical Work - Testing, adjusting, and balancing of systems. <br />F. Individual Specification Sections: Inspections and tests required, and standards for testing. <br />1.03 REFERENCES <br />A. Title 24, Part 1, CCR. <br />B. Title 24, Part 2, CCR, California Building Code, current edition. <br />1.04 SELECTION AND PAYMENT <br />A. Testing laboratory shall be approved by both the Architect and the Division of the State <br />Architect. <br />B. Owner will employ and pay for services of an independent testing laboratory to perform <br />specified inspection and testing. Retesting costs for failed tests will be the Contractors <br />responsibility and will be back -charged against the contract. <br />C. Under provisions for Relocatable Building construction, Owner limits his exposure to in -plant <br />inspection and testing costs. Refer to other Specification Sections related to such specific <br />construction. <br />D. Employment of testing laboratory shall in no way relieve Contractor of obligation to perform <br />work in accordance with requirements of Contract Documents. <br />1.05 LABORATORY REPORTS <br />A. After each inspection and test, promptly submit two copies of laboratory report to Owner, <br />Architect, Contractor and DSA. <br />1 <br />
