CONSTRUCTION FACILITIES AND <br />TEMPORARY CONTROLS <br />Section 01500 <br />15-1207 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 INCLUSION OF OTHER CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />A. The General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 are fully applicable to this <br />Section, as if repeated herein. <br />1.02 WORK INCLUDED <br />A. Furnish and install temporary facilities and controls as hereunder specified, plus other <br />unspecified temporary facilities, including labor, materials, services, utilities and equipment, <br />as may be required for proper performance of the Contract, except as otherwise provided. <br />Temporary facilities and controls required for this work include, but are not necessarily <br />limited to: <br />1. Temporary utilities. <br />2. Field offices. <br />3. Sanitary facilities. <br />4. Construction equipment. <br />5. Enclosures, fencing and barricades. <br />6. Temporary shoring. <br />7. Dewatering measures. <br />8. Temporary signs. <br />9. Site controls and parking. <br />10. Winterization. <br />11. Fire alarm and intrusion alarm. <br />12. Fire safety during construction and demolition <br />13. Existing conditions. <br />14. Meetings. <br />B. Related Work Specified Elsewhere <br />Permanent utilities: Pertinent Specification sections. <br />1.03 REQUIREMENTS OF REGULATORY AGENCIES <br />A. General: Temporary facilities and controls shall be approved by local, state and federal <br />authorities and regulatory agencies having jurisdiction, including insurance companies, with <br />regard to safety precautions, operation and fire hazard. Contractor shall contact local <br />authorities prior to start of work to coordinate local requirements. <br />B. Refer to General Conditions. <br />1.04 PRODUCT HANDLING <br />A. Protection: Use all means necessary to protect and maintain temporary facilities and <br />controls in proper and safe condition throughout progress of work. <br />B. Replacements: In event of loss or damage, immediately make necessary repairs and <br />replacements; as approved by Architect at no additional cost to Owner. <br />
