RELOCATABLE BUILDING DEMOLITION <br />Section 02073 <br />15-1207 <br />3.02 DEMOLITION REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Conduct demolition to minimize interference with adjacent and occupied building areas. <br />B. Cease operations immediately if structure appears to be in danger. Notify Architect. Do <br />not resume operations until directed. <br />C. Maintain protected egress and access to the work. <br />D. The amount of dust resulting from demolition shall be controlled to prevent the spread of <br />dust to occupied portions of the construction site and to avoid creation of a nuisance in <br />the surrounding area. <br />3.03 DEMOLITION <br />A. Disconnect, cap and identify all utilities within demolition areas. <br />B. Demolish in an orderly and careful manner. Protect existing supporting structural <br />member. <br />C. Except where noted otherwise, remove demolished materials from site. Do not burn or <br />bury materials on site. <br />D. Offsite export of excess soil resulting from grading and excavation will be required. <br />E. All material to be legally disposed. Documentation of legal dumping shall be obtained <br />and submitted. <br />F. Remove demolished materials from site as work progresses. Upon completion of work, <br />leave areas in clean condition. <br />G. Remove temporary work. <br />3.05 REPAIR <br />A. Where demolition or removal of specific items exposes or damages existing surfaces, <br />repair such surfaces to match adjacent in material and finish. <br />B. Where fasteners are removed from existing surfaces or when temporary penetrations are <br />necessary patch and repair holes and openings to match adjacent surface. <br />3.06 SALVAGE & PROTECTION <br />A. Remove, store and protect the following materials and equipment: <br />1. Plumbing fixtures to be re -installed. <br />2. Projection screens. <br />3. Cabinets to be re -painted and re -installed. <br />B. Remove the following equipment to be retained by the Owner. <br />3 <br />
