ASBESTOS ABATEMENT -- <br />ROOFING <br />Section 02082 <br />15-1207 <br />1. Safety Compliance: In addition to detailed requirements of this Specification, comply <br />with laws, ordinances, rules and regulations of federal, state, regional and local <br />authorities regarding handling, storing, transporting and disposal of asbestos waste <br />materials. Comply with applicable requirements of current issues of 29 CFR <br />1910.1101, 29 CFR 1926.58 and 40 CFR 61, Subparts A & M, 40 CFR 61.152 and <br />CCR Section 5208. Submit matters of interpretation of standards to the appropriate <br />administrative agency for resolution before starting work. Where requirements of this <br />Specification and reference documents vary, the most stringent requirement shall <br />apply. <br />2. Contractor shall have at least one copy of each of 29 CFR 1910, Subpart I, <br />29.CFR.1910.1101; 29 CFR 1926.58; 40 CFR Part 61, Subparts A & M; and CCR Title <br />8, Section 5208, at his office and also at the job site. <br />3. Before commencement of any Work at this site, post bilingual EPA and CAL/OSHA <br />caution signs in and around the Work Area to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations. <br />C. Field Air Sampling: Personnel monitoring and other monitoring which is required by law or <br />considered necessary by the Contractor for Worker protection shall be the responsibility of <br />the Contractor and performed by Contractor's Air Sampling Professional. <br />D. Certification: Rental Equipment; when rental equipment is to be used in removal areas or to <br />transport waste materials, a copy of the written notification provided to the rental company <br />informing them of the nature of use of the rented equipment shall be submitted to the Owner. <br />E. Products: Submit manufacturer's product data for all the items listed under Part 2 - Products. <br />F. Pre -Application Job -Site Conference (for roofing). <br />G. Tests (as needed per wood doors 08200, etc.). <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Permit for transportation and disposal of debris per Article 3.02, Paragraph B of this <br />Specification Section. <br />B. Demolition procedures and operational sequence for review and acceptance by Owner. <br />C. Notifications, Communications and Postings for Asbestos Abatement. <br />Submit copies of notifications to all appropriate Government agencies, including but not <br />limited to the following: <br />a.
