ORNAMENTAL METAL FENCING - <br />MECHANICALLY FASTENED <br />Section 02446 <br />15-1207 <br />E. The manufactured galvanized panels, gates and posts shall be subjected to an in-line <br />electrodeposition coating (E -Coat) consisting of a multi -stage pretreatment/wash (with zinc <br />phosphate) followed by a duplex application of epoxy primer and an acrylic topcoat to create <br />a total coating thickness of 2 -mils. The color shall be as selected by the Architect between <br />either black or bronze. Examine the conditions under which the fencing is to be installed and advise the General <br />Contractor of any conditions detrimental to the proper and timely completion of the work. <br />Work shall not proceed until unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected in a manner <br />acceptable to the Installer. <br />B. The installer shall take field measurements for this work and notify the Architect of any <br />discrepancies between plan and field dimensions. <br />3.02 INSTALLATION <br />A. General: Install mechanically fastened metal fencing system in accordance with <br />manufacturer's requirements, industry standard and best practices. <br />B. Upon receipt at job site, all materials shall be checked to ensure that no damage occurred <br />during handling or shipping. Contractor shall repair or replace material at no additional cost <br />to the Owner. <br />C. Fence posts shall be set in accordance with the spacing recommended by the manufacturer. <br />D. Panels shall be attached to posts with brackets as supplied by the manufacturer. <br />E. Gate posts shall be spaced according to the gate openings specified in the plans. <br />M <br />
